De första är ingen High modell och här var inte tanken alls att lägga upp dem som ett par Chicagos, det bara råkade bli ännu ett par röd/vita skor som jag har lagt upp bild på sedan det senaste inlägget, så jag lägger upp dem här med.
Ett par skor som absolut är underskattade just för att de är Mids istället för Highs…

Jag ångrar lite att jag inte köpte den röda jackan
Nu till mina Air Jordan 1 ”Chicago”´s
Som ni har hört i många år nu så gillar jag rent allmänt inte röd/vita skor då det enligt mig bara ser ut som en polkagris.
Men det är ju den vanligaste Air Jordan Colorway tillsammans med Black/Red (BRED) då Röd/vitt var skorna/färgerna som Michael Jordan och Chicago Bulls laget hade på sig när de spelade matcher på hemmaplan i Chicago, därför så kallas de röd/vita skorna för ”Chicago”
Och röd/svart hade de på sig på bortamatcher.
De började nästan helrött, sen röd/vitt – Röd/Svart och sen nästan helsvart
Men Vitt/Rött har alltid varit hemma/Chicago färgerna.
Tråkigt rent allmänt.
Announcers Says: ”The Ugliest Shoes in the League”’ for Michael Jordan’s ”Air Jordan 1”!
Och sen då så saknar Air Jordan 1 hemmaskorna helt den speciella ”Banned” storyn som de Svart/Röda skorna har.
Det blir ett inlägg om dem i framtiden.
Antagligen när de släpps nästa år på Alla Hjärtans dag.
Så vilket som.
Inte alls lika speciella och färgerna får mig att tänka på detta
Så pga dessa saker och att de är så extremt hypade (Oh ja mycket mer än BREDs) så har jag alltid visat ännu mer hur lite jag bryr mig om dem.
Dessa skor har alltid varit sådär löjligt dyra
Och därför så har de fullt medvetet varit mina ”Tvätta bilen-skor” eller ”Regnskor” när jag mycket tydligt vill visa hur jag ser på skorna istället för att bara använda mina riktiga beaters som är ett par BREDs.

De har varit mycket dyrare, såpass dyra att jag ibland har tänkt att det kanske är synd att använda dem som beaters ändå.
Men nej, så fungerar inte jag, när skorna ENLIGT ANDRA är värda 50 000+ kr då tycker jag att det är ännu roligare/coolare att verkligen använda skorna
Air Jordan 1 ”Chicago” har alltid varit så ointressant för mig att på tiden innan ”The Last Dance” dokumentären så var det MYCKET lättare att hitta ett par Air Jordan 1 Chicago från 1985 i nyskick än ett par BREDs från samma år, just för att Air Jordan 1 Chicago har mer eller mindre alltid varit samlarskor.
Men inte ens då brydde jag mig om det.
Vilket jag ABSOLUT ångrar nu!
Det var väl när det kom en Hollywoodfilm om skorna som jag började tänka att det är nog dags att använda skorna innan de släpps på nytt igen
Vi ”vet” att Air Jordan 1 ”Bred/Banned” kommer att släppas nästa år i äntligen 85 Cut, och jag tror absolut att Nike kommer att släppa Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 85 ”Chicago” också när Air Jordan 1 modellen firar 40 år.
Men men, vi får se.
Och då kommer vi till nästa par skor som jag verkligen gillar!

Dessa ville jag ha dubbletter utav just för att se hur de verkligen ser ur när de är slitna och sen ha ett par som skulle bevaras ”Deadstock” och alltid se orörda ut.
Men jag fick inte tag på fler par.
Jag fick egentligen inte ens tar på dem till mig själv.
Jag fick tag på ett par större som gick till en vän i Retailgang och jag fick mitt par tack vare Retailgang.
Det som stör mig ofta är att den nya killen i Retailgang som jag har hjälpt med flera par skor då vi har samma storlek, han hade två par, och la ut det ena paret för resell direkt.. jag frågade vafan han sysslar med och då bad han om ursäkt och tog bort annonsen.
Jag har sedan dess sagt att jag vill köpa skorna av honom men han påstår att de är kvar och ska inte säljas.
Jag har inte sett ett enda tecken på att han inte har sålt skorna..
Så ja, det stör mig.
Men men, jag har 1 par i min storlek iallafall och de används flitigt, jag gillar dem verkligen!
Och jag tycker faktiskt om dem mer och mer
Jag vill verkligen ha ett par till men jag vägrar betala resell.
Men men, nästa år då vill jag ha en massa hjälp för att få en massa BREDs.
Nästa par köpte jag enbart för att jag mer eller mindre blev påtjatad att köpa dem.
Jag köpte en hel samling skor av en kille som skulle flytta till Danmark.
Jag började med att kanske köpa 20 par eller så, dyrt.
Och sen blev det fler och fler, billigare och billigare, när han insåg att storlek 46 är rätt sällsynt i Sverige.
Och bland de allra sista skorna som jag köpte just för att han tjatade och behövde bli av med så många skor som möjligt, var dessa som då precis hade släppts.
Han ville ha retail för dem, jag ville inte ens betala det, jag sa att han lika gärna kunde skicka tillbaka dem där han hade köpt dem ifrån eftersom de bara var någon dag gamla, men för att vara schysst mot honom så tog jag resten av hans skor där dessa fick ingå för retailpriset.

Jag tror inte ens att jag brydde mig att göra en Unboxingvideo av dem i heller trots att de var nya då..
Osäker på det..
Och de höll sig okej i pris de första åren, tills pandemin..
Sen fattar jag inte vad som hände..
Ja alla Air Jordans blev hypade, resellers hade absolut sin bästa tid någonsin under pandemin.
Och ja Air Jordan 1 ”Chicago” från 2015 har alltid varit dyra, men att dessa skulle helt plötsligt skulle kosta nästan hälften av de från 2015…
Idag har priserna lugnat sig men det är fortfarande nästan 15 000 kronors skor, med den vanliga lådan då.
De med den speciella lådan är idiotiskt dyra.
Och nu till nästa par Spider-Man som knappt ser ut som ett par ”Chicagos” och som jag har gjort ännu mer färgglada med unmatching snören

Jag hade två par av dem, tänkte göra samma sak här, använda ett par hårt som beaters för att se hur de såg ut slitna, och sen då ett par fina.
Men när jag väl hade två par av dem så var jag så besviken att jag FÖRSÖKTE sälja det ena paret..
Försökte..
För retail..

Det slutade med att jag skulle skicka tillbaka skorna till Nike!
Hade de redo i lådan, redo att skickas, när en HiFi-bekant hör av sig på WhatsApp och frågar om jag kan hjälpa hans sån att få tag på ett par sådana skor, och han har också storlek US12!
Så precis innan de skulle skickas tillbaka till Nike så såldes de vidare för retail till en kille som ville ha dem =)
Så det är jag nöjd med.
Och idag är det idiotiska priser på dem med speciell låda, alltså 60 000 kronor.
Och de vanliga går för strax över svenska retailpriset.
Och det svenska retailpriset var det dyraste priset någonsin för ett par Air Jordan 1..
Då iallafall.
Snygga skor, rätt coola, men borde absolut ha varit mjukare och skönare med bättre läder som på mer eller mindre alla tidigare Air Jordan 1 ”Chicago”.

Och till sist, trots att jag tycker om ”Chicagos” nu som först tack vare Lost & Found, så ångrar jag att jag inte köpte Air Jordan 1.5 när jag till och med kunde köpa dem väldigt billigt nyligen.
Men de var i storlek 11.5… jag vågade inte chansa, och jag bryr mig inte alls om att ha skor som jag inte kan använda, även om jag inte använder skorna.

You already know what the Air Jordan 1 is all about. It’s a staple of sneaker culture.
The Air Jordan 1, however, wasn’t destined to be an all-time classic.
When it first debuted in 1985, there weren’t grand expectations. Instead, there were critics loudly chirping about Nike’s decision to give Michael Jordan a large sneaker deal before he played a single game and the rookie’s choice to sign with a company that, up to that point, was best known for running shoes.
Jordan quickly flipped the narrative on the court by winning Rookie of the Year, averaging 28.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 5.9 APG in 1985 while donning Air Jordan 1s. MJ’s meteoric rise propelled the Air Jordan 1, resulting in nationwide demand and making the sneakers a must-have for hoop heads.
Introducing the Air Jordan 1 ’Chicago’
The AJ1 ”Chicago” was inspired by the high top Air Jordan 1 original colorway, first released in 1985. The shoe harkens back to a time when shoe boxes were often lost in inventory stockrooms, only to be found again years later.
Before the advent of sophisticated inventory systems, products were typically tracked with pen and paper. Human error was inevitable and frequently resulted in shoe boxes with mismatched lids.
The AJ1 Chicago is a throwback to this era, drawing inspiration from what an original 1985 Air Jordan 1 would look like if found decades later in a dusty stock room.
According to the Jordan design team, the goal of this shoe was to create a “time travel moment,” especially for a new generation of consumers. The process of buying a shoe today is very different from what it was like in the 80s. This sneaker attempts to capture that lost and found feeling, giving consumers a taste of what a box-fresh, vintage AJ1 would have looked like back in the day.
Lost & Found: A Unique Design
The Jordan Brand team responsible for developing the AJ1 Chicago obsessed every detail of the shoe’s design to bring this nostalgic story to life. Jordan designers studied multiple pairs of original AJ1s in varying states of distress to capture the nuances of the shoe’s look, described as having “light to no wear but with materials that sat for years in a box and didn’t withstand the test of time.”
The Inspiration
Ultimately, the team focused on several key design elements of the Chicago to drive forward the AJ1’s history. The image below shows the updated 2022 Chicago (top) next to an original 1985 Air Jordan 1 (bottom) to highlight the sneaker’s inspiration.
A Closer Look
The 2022 Chicago colorway comes with a range of key design features influenced by the OG AJ1.
Bigger Swoosh
Ankle Collars
One of the most common signs of age on an original pair of AJ1s was a cracked and faded ankle collar. The black leather material wrapped around the ankle collars had a tendency to dry out and crack over a period of time, and often would begin to flake off with wear and handling.
The ankle collars on the new Chicago mimic this weathered appearance and give a nod to collectors who understand the amount of care necessary when handling a pair of 1985 originals.
Midsole
Similar to the ankle collars, the rubber cupsole of an original AJ1 would age over time, turning into a light yellow hue. The Chicago pays homage to this look.
According to the Jordan Brand Design team, when shoes are left in a box for years and not properly maintained, they’re going to crack, yellow and pigment. The goal with the AJ1 Chicago was to hint at this subtle aging look, while adding tactility to the shoe’s sole.
Aged Leather
Leather is a natural material that requires ongoing maintenance. With years of neglect in a stockroom leather starts to dry out and leave visible signs of aging. The Chicago offers hints of dryness in the leather, most noticeably in the toe area and side panels. But the effect is merely aesthetic.
Jordan Brand designers took note of the condition in the leather from several older pairs of AJ1s. Observing how some of the oils in the leather came to the surface and created different visible effects, they recreated a rich look using premium materials that will last longer for today’s consumers.
OG Box & Lid
In a nod to the “lost and found” nature of the colorway, the updated Chicago comes with a mismatched box lid that speaks to the shoes being misplaced in back rooms and basements.
Designers added extra details both inside and outside the box that serve as a shout out to shoe promotions created once upon a time. According to the Jordan design team, every detail should be recognizable to those who grew up back in those days, while giving new sneakerheads a chance to experience what it was like.
One such example is the inclusion with every pair of a vintage receipt meant to replicate actual receipts that found their way into the hands of collectors from deadstock shoeboxes. The receipt calls up images of how sneakers used to be acquired in analog fashion before the internet age.
Retelling the Story
As a result of the many unique design choices, not every pair of updated AJ1s will look exactly the same. The subtle differences in each sneaker reinforce the throwback theme of this colorway.
Jordan designers took an approach that gave the 2022 Air Jordan 1 Chicago “an edge, a narrative and a connection.” They wanted a look and feel that came with a history tied back to something many consumers may not even be aware of. Ultimately, whether old school or new generation, Jordan Brand wants every consumer to see beauty in the story behind the shoe.
